The interior treatment Carlex Design promised for the new Mercedes S-Class is finally ready, and boy was it worth the wait. They have gone way over the top with this one, giving the S-cabin not only an exclusive and artistic design, but materials you would normally find in the underground palace of Count of Monte Cristo.

We are talking about real, 24 karat gold trim pieces and special leather made from skinned crocodiles. If it sounds cruel that’s because it is. But there is no denying that crocodile leather looks superb, especially in the color Carlex proposes.

Carlex Design Mercedes S-Class interior features a three or maybe even four-tone finish with beige and brown leather mixed with black crocodile leather covering the seats – complemented with the finest contrast stitching we’ve ever seen – and cream, gold, black and brown adorning the dashboard. Same theme is found on the steering wheel and door panels, while the floor mats are plain old brown leather with special piping and diamond stitching.

What you get from Carlex Design Mercedes S-Class interior treatment is luxury on a whole new level. That said, some people may find it overwhelming to drive around in something made from gold pieces and crocodile skin. It is luxurious alright, but it is also unbelievably vulgar.
