Chinese car maker commissioned a student project in which the designer was asked to envision a luxury sedan for the year 2020. This is what he came up with, a massive four-door saloon called Qoros 9. The design has been turned into a 1:4.5 scale clay model and is currently on display at Coventry University.

Being Chinese, it is inevitable for Qoros 9 to draw inspiration from successful foreign cars, even though the designers seem to have obscured it very well here. Still, we can see a bit of Chrysler 300 in this car, and maybe some lines from old Lincoln models.

The designer says he got his inspirations from Qoros 3 production car and accentuated its features with clean horizontal lines and emphasizing the present-day Qoros signature hockey-stick design theme. Some of the features of Qoros 9 include high-res cameras instead of wing mirrors, diamond-cut eight-spoke 19-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and LED side indicator repeaters.
