With all the action at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, some of the important show debuts got kind of obscured and didn’t get as much attention as they deserved. The 2015 Ford Mustang GT was one of them. The brand-new muscle car celebrated its UK debut at the Festival by tackling the famous Goodwood Hill.

2015 Ford Mustang has already met with great success in Europe and the UK. The first 500 units offered for sale were snatched up in a matter of seconds, and the waiting list keeps growing. Turns out all Ford needed to do for Europeans to like the Mustang was replacing the live rear axle with independent suspension.

The Mustang GT featured in this footage is powered by a magnificent 5.0 liter V8 engine developing 420 horsepower. Connected to a manual gearbox in this particular example, this engine delivers lots of old school fun. Sadly we don’t get hear it in this video, but rest assured, it sounds pretty Bullitty!
