Middle East-Only Aston Martin Lagonda Teased

As a result of what they call “specific market demand,” Aston Martin is launching a bespoke super-deluxe super saloon in the Middle East. This is the long-rumored and Aston Martin Lagonda saloon everybody’s been waiting for, so it’s a shame it won’t be offered in U.S. and Europe.

Aston Martin Lagonda revival project was initiated after the company found themselves idling for a while and in need of a challenge. They successfully launched the One-77 hyper car, created a couple of wonderful concepts like the V12 Zagato and CC100 Speedster, and launched the “Q” bespoke department. It was about time they revisited one of their old nameplates.

The new Aston Martin Lagonda will be based on the existing flexible VH architecture, and it’ll almost certainly get a version of the existing V12 engine as well. Design-wise, The Lagonda is inspired rather heavily by William Towns-designed Lagonda of 1976. It will however boast a modern carbon fiber construction.

Offered for sale by invitation only with a price tag that will be “commensurate with the car’s exclusivity, quality and luxurious nature,” Aston Martin Lagonda hits the Gulf in early 2015.
