Exhaust specialist Armytrix has come up with a new system for the normal Mercedes C-Class W204 models (C180/C200/C250) which gives them the sound and the look of the high-end C63 AMG version. It comes with quad tailpipes in true AMG fashion, and an adjustable valve system.

Armytrix Quad-Tip Conversion for the C-Class replaces the rubbish single tailpipe setup on the normal models with no less than four man-sized tailpipes integrated into a carbon diffuser. The system itself includes decatted down pipe with cat-simulator and a three-mode valve.

Thanks to this clever system you can enjoy a sonorous soundtrack only when you are in the mood for it. At the flick of a button you can switch between the Race mode (valves open) and Street mode (valves closed). The street mode is a great feature because not only it eliminates the drones inside the car that come with sport exhausts, it also prevents your neighbors from hating you because your car always sounds like it’s giving birth to something!

What sets Armytrix system apart is a third Auto mode option in which the valves will automatically close to maintain backpressure at low rpm to help with better launch-start, and open at high rpm for maximum air flow. The sound will change accordingly, meaning the car is quiet at low rpm and only barks when you floor it.
