Following the footsteps of companies like Mercedes-Benz and Bugatti, Ford decided they should benefit from the popularity of their new Mustang by launching a dedicated fashion collection. So they teamed up with five top designers and launched the Mustang Unleashed Collection.

‘Unleashed’ is a Mustang-Inspired fashion collection comprising for now of a limited-edition line of one-of-a-kind shirts. Designers involved in this project include Anna Sui; Rogan Gregory and Scott Mackinlay-Hahn of Rogan; Paula Cademartori; Tomaso Anfossi and Francesco Ferrari of CO|TE; and Pamela Love. Each one of these guys created three unique Mustang-inspired shirts, resulting in a collection of 15 designs.

The designers have mixed their own style with cues from the design of the car to make a special graphic that adorns the Mustang-inspired shirts. You can easily spot the Mustang’s effect in most of these works of art, but it is more obscured in some of them and you need an artistic eye to make sense it.

“Mustang embraces passion, power, adventure and freedom, and by collaborating with top designers known for their expressive personalities and designs, we are blending the parallels between the worlds of fashion and automotive like never before,” said Kim Cape, Ford group marketing manager. “The Mustang Unleashed collection celebrates the passion and freedom of Mustang, and its inspiration to pop culture over the last 50 years.”
