Recently German tuner Mcchip-DKr likes to try other performance upgrade tricks besides electronic modifications, and they’ve been getting some astonishing results. We were still trying to wrap our head around their 535-hp BMW M4 when they release this, a Mercedes SL63 AMG with 680 horsepower!
The standard Mercedes SL63 AMG is a beast of a car powered by a 5.5 liter bi-turbo V8 engine with 544 horsepower and 800Nm of torque. It is one of the most powerful sports roadsters ever created and you have to be mad to think of making it even faster.
Luckily, somebody was indeed that mad and asked Mcchip to devise a way to substantially increase the output of the SL’s engine. Their first thought, obviously, was chip tuning, but this time they also fitted the car with sports cats. So in essence, that’s a few lines of codes and some pipes.
The result of those seemingly simple changes is astounding. Mcchip-DKR Mercedes SL63 AMG makes 680 horsepower and a colossal 1070 Nm of torque. The cost of the package is 7,239 Euros.
