Chevrolet has already confirmed the Camaro’s design in the future will be more of an evolution than revolution. Taking that to heart, and using the current model as the base, designer Theophilus Chin has come up with these renderings to give us an early look at the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro.
What Theo has done here is take the current Camaro and give it a mild facelift using cues one might expect Chevrolet designer would repeat in the next generation of the car. So the grille is narrower and sportier; the headlights have a slightly different look to them; the air intakes are larger; the diffuser is more prominent; and the tailpipes are bigger.
Crucially, the profile of the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro remains the same as the current version and so does the wheelbase. We can’t say it looks terribly exciting, because it doesn’t. But hey, that’s evolution for you. It took natural evolution eons to turn the apes into humans. So it is going to take at least a few decades for it to spawn a beautiful Camaro!
We are more interested in the next generation of muscle car engine GM is developing to replace the current gas-guzzling motors with. Are muscle cars awfully close to extinction?
