A few days ago Jaguar’s head designer Ian Callum revealed a modified and restomoded Jaguar Mark 2, which he referred to as a “personal” project. Turns out it wasn’t so personal after all. Classic Motor Cars Limited (CMC), the company who built the car, announced they are now putting it into production and anybody who fancies it can order one.

Well, almost anybody. Jaguar Mark 2 by Callum will have a strictly limited production run, and it will cost between £350,000 and £375,000. Sounds kind of steep, but then again, this is no ordinary Mark 2.

What Callum has done to this model is add a few designer touches to make it more rounded and pleasant to look at. It comes with a new front bumper that looks sleek and modern, a bespoke grille, and a fabulous interior equipped with an infotainment system. The suspension is also new, so the handling is much nicer than the original.

Ian Callum said: “I redesigned the car and CMC rebuilt it and reengineered it for my personal use. I wasn’t sure how it would be received but I have been both astounded and delighted with the response. I am pleased that a few more cars are going to be built.”
