RAF Gears Up for the Launch of Jaguar XE!

Jaguar XE Launch 1 600x316 at RAF Gears Up for the Launch of Jaguar XE!

No seriously, the Royal Air Force Red Arrows are on full alert because Jaguar is about to launch a new mid-size sedan. That is the kind of elaborate unveiling ceremony Jag can afford these days. The car in question is of course the new XE saloon, and the debut date is September 8.

In the first phase of Jaguar XE unveiling ceremonies which begins at Earl Court we will only get to see the XE S derivative. The full lineup will be revealed at Paris Motor Show press conference on 02 October. Not that it matters really, because Paris show won’t even come close to what Jaguar has planned for the Earls Court event.

Besides a unique display of Britain’s air power, Earls Court show, narrated by actor John Hannah, will feature special performances from artists including Emeli Sandé, The Kaiser Chiefs and Eliza Doolittle. It will be followed by another live 45 minute performance by Emeli Sandé at a secret location for 200 VIP guests where she debuts her Jaguar FEEL XE song. Apparently Lana Del Ray was busy.

As for the car itself, we might as well wait another week and bring you the full bounty. But for now be content with the knowledge that Jaguar XE will be a lightweight in its class thanks to extensive use of aluminum, and that it will be available with a wide range of engines; from frugal diesels to powerful V8s.
