SEMA show has always been an important event for Scion, seeing as they make affordable sporty cars for young people and this lot likes to modify their cars as much as they like modifying, well, their bodies. So each year they turn up with a whole bunch of concepts. These are two of this year’s batch.

What we have here includes the “Scion x Slayer Mobile Amp tC” for heavy metal band Slayer and the “Scion x Riley Hawk Skate Tour xB” for pro skateboarder Riley Hawk, channeling celebrity endorsement to improve the brand’s image.

The Slayer tC features band-inspired features inside and out, plus a mobile multimedia studio with amps, towers of speakers, a custom mixer and a 32-inch monitor for media playback. Hawk’s xB, which frankly looks very odd in this sketch, comes with high-end sound system, space for skateboards and classic orange and yellow striped paint job, plus features to give it a retro vibe, such a bubble windows, interior wood grain paneling, an 8-track player and requisite shag carpet.

These two custom Scion models will be joined at 2014 SEMA with hree FR-S sport coupes designed by media partners as part of the 10th annual Scion Tuner Challenge.
