A lot of people who choose the Audi R8 V8 over a Ferrari 458 or a Lamborghini Gallardo or Huracan like the car’s understatedness and lowkey character. But there are those who quickly get bored with that and try to spice the R8 up with unique visual features and dab of loud exhaust noise.

This matte black Audi R8 V8 here is one such car. The owner has replaced the stock exhaust with a straight-pipe Larini SuperSport system. Who knew 4.2 liters can make such menacing sound?

Audi R8 V8’s engine is a naturally free-revving motor. The straight-pipe system, though, takes that to a whole new level and enhances the responsiveness of the engine no end. We’re not sure about the performance gains this system may result in, but logically, it should have a positive effect as it drastically improves the engine’s breathing.
