‘Star Citizen’ is the name of a game that simulates life in space. Obviously a large part of this life is the starships by which space citizens get about. Now, to announce the addition of the new M50 Interceptor starship, the creator of the game Roberts Space Industries (RSI) has come up with an ingenious idea.
To promote the M50, RSI created an imaginary show called Galactic Gear, which to all intents and purposes is what Top Gear may look like a 100 years from now. And it is pretty much the same as it is today:
A hundred years from now, or maybe sooner ever, we could have a reincarnated Jeremy Clarkson – Jezaa 2.0, if you will – by uploading the map of his brain into an artificial body. He’d still be quite funny; he’d still torture metaphors; he’d still be controversial; and he’d still prefer speed and performance to comfort and convenience! We would definitely watch Galactic Gear.
