Mercedes-Benz and BMW are engaged in a race to exploit the Japanese appetite for unique special edition models. Every other week one of the German firms comes up with a new model specifically tailored for JDM. This week it is Mercedes’ turns, and they are presenting the S550 Premium Sport long wheelbase.

Mercedes S550 Premium Sport is limited to 200 units only sold in Japan, boasting the long body equipped with various AMG goodies. It gets the sporty AMG bumpers with the front splitter and rear spoiler, as well as the desirable chrome detailing and sport tailpipes. A set of AMG 20-inch wheels complete the look. The car comes in only Obsidian Black and White Diamond.

Mercedes S550 Premium Sport also gets a bespoke, well appointed interior featuring designo nappa leather upholstery and ash wood trims, plus sport steering wheel with wood accents. Being a long S-Class, the S500 PS also gets the Executive Chauffeur Package with reclining rear seats, complete entertainment system, and separate climate control.
