The guys from Metro Wrapz are known for their works on some pretty high-end cars, including this rather famous Bugatti Veyron. But even by their own high standards, this BMW M3 is a pretty unique job. It is wrapped in matte black and… wait for it… velvet!

Now, it’s not a ghastly full-velvet wrap. The exotic material is applied to the car in a very tasteful manner and complements the base color very nicely. You find the velvet on the bonnet, roof, and the boot or trunk. That, combined with the matte black and smoked lights, gives the E92 a menacing but still beautiful look.

BMW M3 E9Xis powered by a 4.0 liter naturally aspirated V8 engine developing 420 horsepower. This brilliant engine has been replaced in the new M3 and M4 with a twin-turbocharged straight-six, which is more powerful, but lacks the immediacy and responsiveness of the old V8.

The old car also sounded better and was generally less fussy than the new models. It will go down in the history books as one of the all time great BMWs.
