Yesterday we told you about an ongoing operation by Hong Kong Police to seize the super cars that race on the streets or go too fast, and we showed you pictures of some seized supercars. That episode did little to dampen the mood when McLaren Club Hong Kong members hit the streets with their British super cars.
As hard as it is to stay within the limits of law when you are in company of so many super cars, the members of McLaren Club Hong Kong did behave themselves and concluded the club’s launch drive without any mishaps. McLaren is hugely popular in Hong Kong and they hope the newly launched club to be as active as their showrooms there.
Looking at this wonderful pictures of the first McLaren HK club drive, we can’t help but feel bad for all those 12C owners. Just a few months after they received their cars, McLaren went ahead and launched the 650S, which is better-looking, more powerful, and vastly more exciting to drive, basically rendering the 12C obsolete.
Between the 650S and the upcoming Sports Series (P13) sports car, the 12C is on a slippery slope value-wise. So if you own one of these, you better get rid of it soon if you don’t want to lose too much money!
