Nissan is celebrating the 45th anniversary of the GT-R legend, but only in Japan and with the launch of a rather special Nissan GT-R 45th Anniversary model. As you’d expect, production is limited to 45 units and it is considerably more expensive than the standard version.

Based on the 2015 model, the Nissan GT-R 45th Anniversary edition is set apart from the regular models with a special paint work called “Silica Brass” – the same trademark color as the Skyline GT-R M-Spec (R34 Type) from 2001, and exclusive emblem on the lower part of the interior center cluster plus a numbered plaque in the engine compartment. That’s about it.

So It’s OK that they are not selling the Anniversary model in Europe or America. All it has is a cool paint job! The special edition only comes in Premium grade and with the standard V6 engine mated to the GR6 Type Dual Clutch Transmission. It costs in Japan 10,787,040 Yen.

The standard 2015 Nissan GT-R has also received a number of updates in the Japanese market, but this one will make it to overseas in due course. The main highlights of the latest GT-R include revised ECU and suspension to make the car more refined and nicer to live with, more sound-deadening material, and new alloys in different colors. Oh, and it will naturally cost more the 2014 model.
