You remember the name Lazzarini Design from the time they proposed to fit a Fiat 500 a Ferrari V8 engine. Not sure how that panned out, but they now have a more plausible idea and that is equipping an Alfa 4C with a V8. They call it Lazzarini Alfa Romeo 4C Definitiva.

As with the previous project, the V8 engine considered for the Lazzarini Alfa Romeo 4C Definitiva is a Ferrari unit. But for good measure, they want to go ahead and fit it with two turbochargers which apparently they want to source from Hennessey Performance, bringing the output to a massive 740 horsepower, or the same as the V12 in the Ferrari F12.

Now this sounds awfully like a wish list by some Italian nutters who don’t know the first thing about tuning. But the fact is they seem very serious about it, as they have already sketched out the initial designs and even fitted the engine, virtually, inside the 4C. The tuner reckons the Definitiva can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and run the quarter mile in 9.5 seconds.

Apart from the engine, Lazzarini Alfa Romeo 4C will also get an absolutely massive body kit with extra large bumpers and wide arches, as well as all sort of wings and spoilers and a two-tone finish to boot. Just like the Fiat 500 project, Lazzarini will makes this thing if they manage to find enough people willing to part with €250,000.
