It is always sad when we see the very first recorded crash of a new exotic car, because they rob us of all the good memories of seeing the car all nice and shiny in motor shows and press material. The victim this time is the 2015 Corvette Z06, crashed on I-94 in Jackson, Michigan.

This rather unique 2015 Corvette Z06 reportedly lost control on wet roads, spun a few times, and took out another vehicle in the process. It then went through the cable wires on the side of the road, which as you can see in the pictures, have shredded the vehicle to bits.

The maroon-colored convertible Z06 was equipped with the Z07 Performance Pack which adds big Brembo brakes, extra aero parts, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 high-performance tires which may have contributed to the accident. These tires are very grippy on dry, warm tarmac, but not so much when they are cold and wet.

Corvettes are known for having a hilariously loose back end. The 2015 Corvette Z06 has this characteristic in spades as it boasts a supercharged V8 engine with 650 horsepower, all of which is sent to the rear wheels. This is car you should treat with respect, or it’ll bite your head off!
