Volvo FH vs Koenigsegg One:1 – The Race

Volvo FH vs Koenigsegg 0 600x349 at Volvo FH vs Koenigsegg One:1 The Race

A few days ago we showed a teaser video in which Volvo Trucks promised another one of their weird but highly entertaining promo videos. This one seemed particularly intriguing, as they said they are going to race a Volvo FH lorry against a Koenigsegg One:1 mega car. They have, and we have the footage right here.

The mere mention of the Koenigsegg’s name was enough for every petrolhead in the land to tune their antennas towards Volvo’s YouTube channel. But it’s better than that, as they have also brought Tiff Needell along to drive the Volvo Trucks, which is equipped with the firm’s new I-Shift Dual Clutch system transmission.

In this challenge the Tiff in the Volvo FH has to complete one lap of the track before the Koenigsegg test driver, Robert Serwanski, complete two in the One:1.

About Koenigsegg One:1:

Koenigsegg One:1 is the world’s first series-produced sports car that produces one Megawatt per kg, which is why it has been dubbed a ‘Megacar’. One Megawatt per kg entails that the car produces 1360 horsepower for its 1360 kg KERB weight, a power-to-weight ratio that no other car manufacturer has previously accomplished. It makes the car one of the world’s fastest. The Koenigsegg One:1 has a full carbon fibre chassis and body with fully active chassis and fully active aerodynamics. It produces over 600 Kg of downforce in 250 Km/t and is capable of carrying over 2G lateral during cornering and accelerate from 0-400 Km/t in around 20 seconds. All of this whilst being easy and fun to drive on an everyday basis with excellent ride quality.
