Audi is indeed working on a new design language as previewed by the Prologue concept a while ago. But for that to translate into anything with production value, many years have to pass. That’s why we are confident these renderings of the 2015 Audi R8 based on the current design philosophy are pretty much spot on.

These are the work of Dutch designer Marco Van Overbeeke who has penned the 2015 Audi R8 based on the latest spy shots and expert speculations. The new model, in Marco’s opinion, is going to be basically the same as the existing R8, only with slightly different headlights, a revised grille, new side skirts, fancy taillights, and rear apron featuring integrated tailpipes with a new design.

From what we have heard about the 2015 Audi R8, these predictions are most likely true. The new model may not get much love in the styling department, but technology-wise, the updated R8 will be packing lots of fascinating new features such as optional laser headlights and advanced connectivity features. As for the engines and drivetrain, the same V8 and V10 engines, as well as the 7-speed DSG and Quattro AWD, will carry over from the previous generation, albeit with a few revisions.
