December probably isn’t the best time of the year to launch an open-top model, but Ford decided the fans have waited enough. So as a sort of Christmas present they released the 2015 Mustang Convertible to the showrooms.

The new Mustang looks absolutely dashing as a convertible and is also fully equipped with special features that’ll allow you to enjoy alfresco motoring even in the coldest climates.

Chief among these features there are the heated seats, remote start (automatic models) which makes the car nice and warm before you even get in it, and selectable drive modes with a snow/wet setting, which tweaks throttle response, steering effort and traction control to mitigate wheel spin and maximize vehicle control.

As with the hardtop model, 2015 Mustang Convertible is available with three engines, including a 300 hp 3.7 liter V6, a 2.3 liter EcoBoost four-pot turbo with 310 hp, and the magnificent 5.0 liter GT V8 with 435 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque. Needless to say, later on there will be countless special edition and celebratory versions of the Convertible as well with unique visual features and equipment.

“Cold weather may have come unseasonably early this year, but with available heated seats, remote start and selectable drive modes with a snow/wet setting, Mustang is the perfect offering for the season,” said Melanie Banker, Mustang brand manager.
