The famous Carabinieri Lamborghini Gallardo Police Car, featured in may TV shows, has been involved in a serious crash in Italy. This incident is ironic on so many different levels, not the least of which is the state of the crash itself.

As you can see in the pictures, a Mercedes A-Class has managed somehow to park itself on top of the Lamborghini Gallardo Police Car, ripping off most of its face in the process. We can contribute that to the Gallardo’s low and wide front-end, and probably the drunkenness of the driver of the A-Class, what with it being the Holiday season and all.

Just imagine how the driver of the Mercedes felt when he or she came to their senses and realize they’ve crashed into a Police car, and a Lamborghini no less. It wouldn’t be that embarrassing if it was just a fender bender, as they are part of the daily life in Italy. But the damage done to the Lambo is pretty substantial and the funny thing is the Mercedes appears to be largely OK.

Sadly, the crash appears to have caused at least some injuries to the people involved, as there is an ambulance in the background.
