So if all your Christmas plans this year include staying at home, watching TV, playing video games, and drinking buckets of eggnog, good news! There is a cool new virtual car you can play on Gran Turismo 6: meet the incredibly awesome Mazda LM55 Vision Gran Turismo.

Mazda’s Xmas present for GT6 players is a full-on Le Mans racer which they can pit against… well, anything that takes their fancy. It’s a video game for Christ’s sake, not an official FIA series.  Realizing that, Mazda didn’t bother coming up with fake details for this virtual concept like most other car makers did. They are just content that it looks quite good.

Mazda LM55 Vision Gran Turismo is designed using two part Kodo design philosophy and two part LMP1 racing car, namely their own 787B Le Mans winner. So it’s wide and low and features a closed cockpit, and it has a very familiar face. The aerodynamics is quite extreme as well, because Gran Turismo players like it like that.
