PP-Performance BMW 550i Tuned to M5 Levels of Power

If you want a BMW 5 Series with over 500 horsepower, you go and buy an M5 F10. That is only logical. But if you are already stuck with a 550i model and crave the M5’s power, you don’t need to switch cars. PP-Performance, in partnership with Fostla, has just come up with a solution to your horsepower problems.

PP-Performance BMW 550i is for those who want a high-powered 5er that looks even more discrete than the M5. I know this one has a rather ostentatious wrap on it with some writings and logos to boot, but a normal one would look like any other run of the mill 5 Series. Where it’s not run of the mill at all, is under the bonnet.

The tuner takes in a standard 4.4 liter V8 with 408 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque – already very decent figures – and 4,299 Euros later, they send it out with 570 horspeower and over 800 Nm of torque. That is more than what a stock M5 F10 can manage, and at a fraction of the cost.

To make sure the PP-Performance BMW 550i stays in one piece once put through its paces, the tuner asks for a couple more grands and spend it on some H&R fancy suspension bits and a set of high-performance Michelin tires wrapped around 20-inch lightweight wheels. A couple of subtle aero parts are also included in the package to enhance the airflow.
