Lexus joins the “Vision Gran Turismo” bunch by unveiling a new virtual concept designed exclusively for the Gran Turismo 6 video game. This car is virtual in the sense that it only exists in your Playstation. There will be no physical version of it available.
But Lexus LF-LC GT Vision Gran Turismo is not as pointless as you it may first seem. It reflects the company’s new-found interest in the world of motorsport. Well, interest in the FIA series anyway, since they’ve been a part of Super GT and the Nürburgring 24 hour race for years. They are going to enter the GT3 category with a racing version of the new RC F. So consider the LF-LC GT a teaser for that car.
Chances are the racing RC will looks very similar to the Lexus LF-LC GT. This is, after all, a track car with exaggerated features such as ground-hugging ride height, massive splitter, and an even bigger rear wing. They didn’t bother coming up with some fake specs for the virtual car, but the GT3 racer will have a V8. You may never get to drive the real race car, but the GT concept allows the fans to “race world competitions in their dream car.” It won’t be anything like the real thing, but hey.
