Toyota GT86 CS-R3 Final Specs Announced

Toyota GT86 CS R3 1 600x401 at Toyota GT86 CS R3 Final Specs Announced

When it was first announced last year, Toyota GT86 CS-R3, the rally version of the popular sports car, caused quite a stir, mainly in the pants of affordable motorsport enthusiasts. Toyota Motorsport GmbH (TMG) has now revealed the final specs of the car. Turns out it’s not that affordable, after all.

A fully competition-ready Toyota GT86 CS-R3 will cost you, in tarmac or gravel specification, 84,000 Euro. However, if you place your order before April 2015, you can enjoy a 5,000 Euro introductory discount and pay only 79,000 Euro.

The GT86 CS-R3 is offered as a kit and it includes a GT86 body shell, powertrain and all the mechanical components required to build the car. The main components include a 1,998cc, 235bhp boxer engine and six-speed sequential transmission. We’d buy the kit and swap these bits with the stock units in a standard road-going GT86!

Toyota GT86 CS-R3 ill be homologated to FIA R3 regulations at the beginning of July, after which all CS-R3 cars will be eligible for national and international rally competitions, up to and including the World Rally Championship.
