After making its world debut amid much fanfare at the Detroit Motor Show earlier this year, the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider is now gearing up for its European debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. On this occasion the Italian car maker has released some fresh pictures of the car which you can view after the jump.

Just to recap, Alfa Romeo 4C Spider is an open-top version of last year’s 4C hardtop featuring different headlights, a bespoke B pillar, and engine cover. Among the exclusive features of theSpider we can mention the Akrapovic titanium exhaust system which is mounted centrally, finished with carbon fibre bezels, carbon fiber air intakes, and 17/18-inch or 18/19-inch (front/rear) in silver or dark finishes. So although the 4C is a small sports car, the exquisiteness of it rivals of that of the most expensive super cars.

Power comes from the same 1,750 cc four-pot turbo as in the coupe, developing 240hp and 258lb.-ft of torque which translates into a 0 to 60 mph time of 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 160 mph. Boasting a carbon monocoque chassis, the 4C can pull off 1.1g of lateral acceleration and 1.25g of braking deceleration. Prices for the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider, in the UK, starts from £59,500.
