Steve Saleen’s take on the new 2015 Ford Mustang is finally ready to roll and it is a complete beast. Unveiled at a special ceremony in L.A., the Saleen S302 Black Label features a bespoke body kit, upgraded chassis, custom interior, and a 730 horsepower V8 engine.

Based on the Mustang 5.0 GT, the Saleen S302 Black Label packs a 2.8-liter twin-screw supercharger system combined with custom air intake, fuel injection, exhaust and software. As a result it makes 730 hp and 600 lb-ft of torque, which is a huge gain over the standard.

That power created the need for bigger brakes, revised suspension, and upgraded aerodynamics. Of course, they were always going to do the aero bit regardless, because Saleen S302 Black Label is a special car and it needs to look that way. So it gets completely custom front bumper and grille, vented bonnet, carbon fiber side skirts, rear diffuser and boot spoiler.

Other goodies included in the $73,214 Saleen S302 Black Label are a set of 20-inch wheels, leather and Alcantara sport seats, sport instruments, and some extra garnish such as illuminated side sills and embroidered floor mats, and limited edition numbered plaques.
