Turns out SEAT’s vision of the perfect car for the year 2020 is a crossover! The SEAT 20V20 Concept they unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show is like a cheaper, less appealing alternative to the Infiniti QX30, which will go on sale next year.

SEAT 20V20 show car follows the same recipe many car makers have been using for years and with great success. It combines the aggressive and sleek lines of a coupe with the ride height and stance of a compact SUV. Of course, this being SEAT, there are a lot of triangular features going on, beginning with the LED lights at the front and continuing toward the rear end.

Some of the more important highlights of SEAT 20V20 Concept include the  20 inch wheels and full LED headlights, five-passenger premium cabin, complete package of driver assistance systems, DSG transmission, and the ability to fit all types of engines, ranging from the high-performance TSI and TDI motors to plug-in hybrids.

The thing is, all these features belong to this very day. They will all probably be obsolete by 2020!

Speaking at the Volkswagen Group media evening, Jürgen Stackmann stated that “the 20V20 reflects SEAT’s ambition in the future. With this showcar we are highlighting how we intend to develop our brand’s design language. At SEAT we aim to develop and produce highly emotional cars that appeal to our customers, with plenty of character, innovative design, modern technology, quality and precision at an affordable price. With these values that characterise SEAT and set us apart from the competition, we strive to be, and will be, the first choice of young-spirited, dynamic customers”.
