Rolls-Royce’s top brass recently confirmed they are working on an SUV model in an open letter to their fans which was a kind of pledge assuring the Roller aficionado they are not going to mess it up for the sake of more sales. The car is codenamed ‘Cullinan’ and designer Theophilus Chin has been busy imagining it, digitally.

Chin has used the Ghost as the base for his rendering of Rolls-Royce Cullinan SUV, but recent reports suggest the first ‘utility’ Roller will be as long and imposing as the Phantom. At any rate, Theo jacked up the Ghost, gave it larger wheels, and mounted a big box at the back. And there you have it, one Rolls-Royce SUV!

The signature suicide doors are still there, as is the polished bonnet and the prominent front grille. This is what RR means when they say the SUV will be a full-blooded Rolls-Royce. Rest assured, the interior too will be covered with tons of the most plush leather and garnished with half a jungle’s worth of wooden decorative trims.

As for the capabilities of Rolls-Royce Cullinan SUV, well, it is too soon to tell. But since RR is owned by BMW, one would imagine a lot of X5 components are to be found under that thick skin.
