A “mix of genres” is how fashion blogger and photographer Scott Schuman describes the new Porsche 991 Targa 4 GTS. He was recently given a Targa GTS for his trip from Milan to Paris, and he found the car a perfect companion for such trip, as it offers a blend of performance, comfort, and of course, style.

Schuman is, naturally, looking at the Porsche 991 Targa GTS from the vantage point of a fashion guru who finds the intricate roof system this car boasts rather fascinating. A car guy, looking past the extra garnish, would point out that this unnecessarily complicated systems adds a lot of weight. If a car guy were to travel from Milan to Paris in a 911, he’d go for a Carrera 2 S.

Porsche 991 Targa 4 GTS is the most pompous version of the 911 family, and one that Porsche purists find kind of baffling. It comes as an all-wheel drive model only, but you can order a manual gearbox if you want. As a reminder, in the high-performance GT3 you can’t get a manual. The GTS version has a 430 horsepower version of the familiar flat-six which enables the car to accelerate to 100 km/h from standing still in just over 4 seconds, and reach a top speed of over 300 km/h (186 mph).

Porsche 991 Targa 4 GTS costs 137,422 Euro.
