At this year’s Geneva Motor Show Volkswagen revealed a new four-door coupe concept called the VW Sport Coupe GTE. The concept itself wasn’t very interesting to be honest. But it was an important proposition, as it could be what the next Volkswagen CC looks like.
Volkswagen CC, unlike the GTE concept, is one of the most interesting cars in VW’s lineup. It offers the usual blend of practicality and quality you expect from Volkswagen products, but with a refreshing touch of style. The car really is a good alternative to the Mercedes CLS and Audi A7 – only if you can’t afford those cars, of course.
Now X-Tomi has taken the liberty of traveling ahead in time, rendering the next Volkswagen CC based on the VW Sport Coupe GTE. What he’s done is get rid some of the conceptual styling features of the GTE, such as the huge wheels and most of the chrome work, and there you have with, a new VW CC.
We still don’t like the front-end look of this car, but the rest of it is pretty amazing. The sleek roofline of the GTE and the small windows, complete with that chiseled and sculpted back-end results in a very good-looking design. Hopefully the real production version of the GTE will looks close to what we can see here.
