German firm DTE-Systems becomes one of the first tuning shops to come up with a proper performance package for the new Mercedes C63 AMG. Dubbed  FSR14, the new power kit boosts the output of the Benz’s 4.0 liter bi-turbo V8 to 590 horsepower.

That, in case you don’t know, is a full 114 PS more than the standard engine which comes with 476 horsepower out of the box. Likewise, the torque is increased by 166 Nm to a massive 816 Nm. Those are seriously impressive figures for a 4.0 liter.

DTE engineers have taken care to achieve a homogenous torque curve which means the driver will have a large amount of grunt at the disposal of his or her right foot from the get go. Low-end power and torque means faster acceleration and easier overtaking.

DTE’s Mercedes C63 AMG has achieved that by employing what the tuner calls “multi mapping” technology which changes between four to eight parameters depending on the engine is operating under.

DTE hasn’t revealed the performance figures for their beefy C63. But rest assured the car can now outperform full-blooded sports cars such as the AMG GT and SL63 AMG.
