Lexus announced the launched of the 2016 modelyear GX full-size in the American market, boasting a new Sepia NuLuxe trim. Really, that is extent of what’s new about the 2016 Lexus GX. They deemed the rest of the car good enough not to need any further upgrade.

As the posh cousin of Toyota Land Cruiser, not only does Lexus GX come with a more blingy exterior featuring nicer colors, cooler wheels, and of course that Lexus spindle grille, the car is also chockfull of luxury, comfort, and technology features inside. For example, it has a dual-display multimedia navigation system with customizable home screen, kicking audio system, and full smartphone integration. You also get the Lexus Enform Destinations, Lexus Enform App Suite, and Lexus Enform Safety Connect, all optional.

But 2016 Lexus GX 460 is not just about the looks and features though. This thing is a highly capable SUV with a powerful 301-horsepower 4.6-liter V8 engine, full-time 4-wheel drive with an electronically controlled transfer case and a TORSEN torque-sensing limited slip center differential, plus Downhill Assist Control (DAC), Hill-start Assist Control (HAC), Active Traction Control (A-TRAC), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and available Crawl Control. There really is no stopping it.

Safety/Security Features

• The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) includes 10 airbags: advanced driver and front passenger airbags; front seat-mounted side airbags; driver and front passenger knee airbags; second-row seat-mounted side airbags (outboard), and roll-sensing side curtain airbags covering all three rows.
• Active front headrests move up and forward almost instantly in the event of certain types of rear-end collisions.
