An incredibly valuable Aston Martin DB5 has been involved in a serious accident in Manchester yesterday in which the classic car got banged up pretty good. The million pound Aston, best known for its movie career as the official bond car, sustained heavy damage to the front and left side.

The cause of the accident is not yet known, but apparently the driver of Aston Martin DB5 collided with a Vauxhall Astra. The funny thing is – actually, it’s more ironic that funny – than the driver of the Aston had to be hospitalized for treating minor injuries he suffered in the crash, while the 20 grand Vauxhall, being a modern car, protected its occupants beautifully.

Aston Martin DB5s do not exactly grow on trees, which means the owner will eventually have this car fixed. It will be hugely expensive and very time consuming, but it’s something worth doing, especially as Aston Martin Works has the perfect facility where they care for classic models.
