The similarities between the Jaguar F-Type R AWD and the Nissan GT-R are too great to be taken for granted. They both have around 550 horsepower, they are both all-wheel-drive, and they cost roughly the same as well. And, of course, they are both sports coupes. So it is only natural to compare them in a head to head challenge.

And what better way to determine which one is better than a good old drag race. That’s what Autocar’s been up to, so let’s check it out:

Regardless of the result of the race, choosing between these two cars is probably the easiest decision you’ll ever make. Who in their right minds would walk past the lusty, beautiful, charming  Jaguar F-Type R Coupe and choose the Nissan Laptop? That said, we wouldn’t buy either of those. We would buy a V6 F-Type S Convertible and spend the difference on a grand tour of the Europe with the car!
