Along with the new Picanto Chilli, Kia is launching a new special edition of the popular Sportage SUV in the British market. The new Kia Sportage Axis Edition is set apart from normal models with special exterior and interior appointment, extra kit, and the fact that it’s limited to 1,200 units.
The main highlights of Kia Sportage Axis Edition on the outside include black gloss arrow mesh radiator grille with chrome surround, LED daytime running lamps and rear LED combination lamps and the roof-mounted ‘shark’s fin’ antenna. Inside the cabin you will find lack leather with contrasting grey Dinamica microfiber inserts, light grey door inserts, black headlining, black B and C pillar coverings and black sun visors, grab handles and map light switches. The car comes with auto headlights, LED indicators, privacy glass and auto-dimming rear-view mirror.
Equipment-wise, the standard kit on the Axis Edition include a seven-speaker Infinity high-end sound system incorporating a subwoofer and external amp, AM/FM radio, CD player, USB and AUX sockets and iPod connectivity, Bluetooth music streaming and hands-free phone, touchscreen satellite navigation system, and reversing camera.
Kia Sportage Axis Edition can be ordered with two powertrains, including the 1.6-litre GDi direct-injection petrol unit developing 133bhp and 165Nm of torque, and the advanced 1.7-litre common-rail turbodiesel which develops 114bhp and 260Nm. Prices start from £20,995.
