Renault surprised their fans last week by unveiling a brand-new and fairly unusual sedan called Talisman. The car features a new look with a bold face that will be on pretty much every new Renault for the next four or five years. In this rendering designer Theophilus Chin shows was how this new design can be manipulated by penning a Renault Talisman Coupe.

If we’re honest we found the Talisman sedan rather charmless. The weird taillight-LED-grille combo and that extra large Renault badge in the middle gives the car an unsettling face, while the rest of it is sort of feature-less and, we dare say, boring. That is not the case with this Renault Talisman Coupe. Sure, the face is still there, but from there backwards it now features a sleek coupe look that is very desirable.

The idea of a Renault Talisman Coupe is far from just a flight of fancy. Even though Renault has announced there isn’t a new coupe on the cards for now, it is an exciting market with a strong pull. We could see this car, or something similar to it, heading into production in a few years’ time. In the case the Talisman Coupe would be a worthy successor to the beautiful and classy Laguna Coupe, a car that was one of the coolest contemporary Renaults.
