The “1 of 1” program for Dodge Viper, for those of you who don’t know, is an extremely thorough customization program Chrysler has come up with to allow new Viper customers to create their very own unique car. In total, it offers more than 50 million personalization possibilities. That was an opportunity Viper collector Wayne Rauh could not pass.

Wayne and his wife D’Ann are the biggest Dodge Viper collectors in Texas, possibly the world. With the two new “1 of 1” GTC models now delivered, they are in possession of 79 Dodge Vipers. So it’s fair to say they are not your average customers, which is why FCA treated them with a special delivery ceremony at the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant in Detroit where they received the keys to the two completely bespoke Vipers.

It must have taken Wayne and D’Ann Rauh a long time going through all the colors and options available in the 1 of 1 program. As mentioned, the 2016 Viper is now offered in more than 50 million unique build configurations, made up from the more than 16,000 unique paint color options and more than 48,000 unique stripe combinations.

The “1 of 1” program is strictly visual though. You have only one choice for the powertrain, and that is the ancient 8.4-liter V-10 engine with 645 horsepower and a manual gearbox. Now that the confederate flag is considered an abomination, maybe the southerners can replace it with the Viper. Like the flag, the Viper represents old-timey values that have no place in the modern age!
