In the olden days the alchemists wanted to find a way to turn everything they touch into gold. These days it’s carbon fiber everyone’s after, and a French firm called Vitesse AuDessus (Superior Speed) claims they have pulled it off.

It’s not witchcraft. What Vitesse AuDessus does is create carbon fiber replica of OEM standard parts, thus turning a whole car, or pretty much anything else, into a full carbon fiber being. They can produce handcrafted bespoke carbon fibre exteriors, interiors, components and monocoques.

Now, this is an expensive service. Vitesse AuDessus says that their carbon fiber exterior treatment costs from $100k-$200k for like normal sports car. For hypercars like Bugatti Veyron, McLaren P1, Ferrari LaFerrari, Porsche 918, Lamborghini Aventador and the like, the final price depends on the amount of work that goes into it and whether or not the owner has opted for extra mods.

“Our clients have already selected the very best in their lives,” says Vitesse AuDessus CEO Stefany Sanchez. “Everything they own is a reflection of their unique taste: from their home, yacht or jet all the way down to their cufflinks. So why should they accept a supercar or exotic vehicle that is no different than the one in their neighbour’s garage? Thus, we had a challenge: how do we make something that is already incredibly rare, sexy and exciting even rarer, sexier and even more exciting? The answer? We adorn every inch of it in handcrafted carbon fibre.”
