Hennessey Dodge Charger Hellcat Gets Up to 850-hp

Only a tuner like Hennessey Performance, the makers of the record-breaking Venom GT, can look at a 707-hp car like Dodge Charger Hellcat and think it is underpowered. They have now come up with a couple of performance kits that addresses that non-existing issue.

Hennessey Dodge Charger Hellcat gets two HPE800 and HPE850 power package. They are pretty self-explanatory in terms of the horsepower figure, but frankly we don’t see the point of the first package. If you are having your 700-hp car tuned, you might as well go all the way and get the most powerful kit. Who in their right mind would think 700 is too little, but 850 is too much, thus choosing the mid-range 800 package?

At any rate, Hennessey Dodge Charger Hellcat performance kits include a number of common modifications, including upgraded tuning software, high flow air filter element, lower pulley upgrade (increases boost by 1-2 psi), and port matched throttle body. Hennessey also offers a number of other goodies that will help improve the look and feel of the car. They offer embroidered head rests, exterior Hennessey and HPE800 emblems, and serial numbered dash and engine plaques.

If this thing still does not float your boat, we are confident that soon Hennessey will come up with the HPE1000 package for the Hellcat engine. So you may want to wait a bit.
