After revealing the standard version of the new C-Class Coupe and its C63 AMG variant, Mercedes-AMG now go ahead and reveal the C63 DTM which is the racing version of the car set for competition in the world famous German touring car championship.

The new Mercedes-AMG C63 DTM is still under development which is why we only get to see it in sketch form for now. But boy does it look fantastic, even in pencil. We are certain this is going to inspire a lot of wide body kits and aero packages for the new C63. The Coupe C-Class has always been a good base for wide body treatments, but the new one seems to be designed specifically to go wide at some in its life!

The 2016 Mercedes-AMG C63 DTM will make its track debut next year and replace the current challenger for the entire 2016 campaign.

“The new Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupé will again set new standards for driving dynamics and design. So, the vehicle provides the ideal basis for our DTM car,” said Head of Mercedes-AMG DTM Ulrich Fritz. “I’m already looking forward to seeing the new Mercedes-AMG C 63 DTM compete in 2016. Our aim with this vehicle is, of course, to continue the Mercedes-Benz success story in the DTM.”
