When Aston Martin announced the DB9 GT edition we thought it was the swan song for the DB9 and that there won’t be another new version until it gets replaced by the DB11. Turns out they are not done milking this nameplate just yet. Welcome the Aston Martin DB9 GT Bond Edition.

Inspired by the latest Bond movie SPECTRE and celebrating the car maker’s long and fruitful partnership with the franchise, Aston Martin DB9 GT Bond Edition is limited to just 150 units worldwide each costing £165,000. It comes with a lot of accessories and bespoke features to justify that price tag.

Visually, the DB9 GT Bond edition comes with Spectre Silver paint; sterling silver Aston Martin badges front and rear; and discreet ‘007 Bond Edition’ exterior badging. They complement the GT’s own unique features, including ten-spoke gloss black diamond turned 20-inch alloy wheels; bright aluminium bonnet vents, side strakes and grille; carbon fibre front splitter and rear diffuser, and grey brake calipers.

Inside the cabin you will find some cool additions such as unique numbered sill plaques featuring the familiar 007 logo; gun barrel embroidery on the 2+2’s rear seat divider and a special Bond Edition start-up screen on the new model’s AMi II touch-sensitive Aston Martin infotainment system. What’s more, you get fluted leather; an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel and a satin carbon fibre centre console surround.

Aston Martin DB9 GT Bond Edition is powered by the old but still lovely 6.0-litre V12 engine, developing here 547 PS and 620 Nm of torque. As for the accessories we’ve talking about, the buyers will get a 21” Globe-Trotter trolley case finished with an embossed leather luggage tag, and an Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150m James Bond Limited Edition watch complete with a unique Aston Martin strap.
