The official MSRP was announced today for the new-face 2016 Kia Optima, and according to this information the high-quality Korean family sedan starts at $21,840 for the LX model with a 2.4 liter engine and a while host of standard equipment.

Before we get to what you get in terms of standard kit with the 2016 Kia Optima, let’s see how much the higher grade models cost. The base LX also comes with a 1.6 turbo engine price dat $23,990. One step above the LX we have the Optima EX which has the same 2.4 liter engine but more premium features and it starts at $24,890. Then we have the Optima SX and SXL, both powered by a powerful 2.0-liter turbocharged GDI 4-cylinder engine, priced at $29,690 and $35,790 respectively.

As for the standard features of the 2016 Kia Optima, the list includes: six-way adjustable driver and front passenger’s seat with height adjuster, a Rear Camera Display, Bluetooth, driver’s knee airbag, keyless entry system, YES Essentials fabric technology anti-microbial protection from spills, anti-static protection from irritating electrical shocks, as well as stain-repelling and stain-releasing fabric characteristics.

There are value-added packages as well, making the Optima as well equipped as an expensive German saloon car. The SX Launch Edition package ($2,700) includes exclusive features such as unique18-inch alloy wheels, merlot leather seating and premium tricot black headliner and roof pillars, and popular features such as Panoramic Sunroof, and the Harman/ Kardon QuantumLogicTM Premium Surround Sound Audio System.  The SX Technology Package ($4,800) includes Advanced Smart Cruise Control (ASCC), Front Collision Warning System (FCWS), Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) and Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB). The LX Convenience Package ($1,850) includes Blind Spot Detection (BSD) with Lane Change Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and Rear Parking Assist System (RPAS).  Among other features, the LX Turbo Technology Package ($2,600) includes navigation, Sirius XM Traffic6 and rear LED taillights, USB chargers for both front and rear seat passengers.
