It is not just that we are a bit of a sucker for RUF products. We also think they are not getting the kind of media attention they deserve, given the company’s heritage and their unique capabilities. So here’s a gallery dedicated to RUF Porsche Boxster 3800S as an homage to the car and the firm.
We are also featuring this car as a sort of competition for the Techart Boxster 981 we showed you yesterday. RUF Porsche Boxster 3800S features a more thorough upgrade package, but on the looks alone, it’s a very close call between the two.
On the styling front RUF Porsche Boxster 3800S comes with custom front and rear bumpers complete with front grille and spoiler lip, carbon mirror caps, rear diffuser and RUF custom made quad exhaust system. The tuner also offers various exclusive colors for the body and the interior as well as the soft top roof, and offers a set of classic RUF wheels in any color you desire.
The sport exhaust system mentioned above is part of a power kit RUF Boxster can be ordered with for a total of 420 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. That makes this little roadster more powerful than a 911 Carrera S.
