Europeans and Americans may not be familiar with Nissan’s full-size SUV, the Patrol, but it is one of the firm’s best selling models in the Middle East. That explains why they have made a high-performance Nissan Patrol Nismo specifically for that market.
The car was unveiled during a special Nismo event in Dubai where the in-house tuner’s other cars, the 370Z and the GT-R, were also present. Just like the other two, Nissan Patrol Nismo features a unique body kit, large wheels, uprated suspension, and above all, a more powerful engine. It’s not really sporty – it’s heavier than a Range Rover – but the tricked-out SUV is sure more appealing now.
Boasting front spoiler, side skirt, and revised rear apron complete with gloss black accents and red garnish, plus a set of 22-inch RAYS wheels, Nissan Patrol Nismo is powered by a modified version of the firm’s 5.6-liter V8 engine with 428 horsepower and 560 Nm of torque. Keeping this huge beast in check is a set of Bilstein shock absorbers plus Nismo steering system.
The pricing for the Nismo-tuned Patrol is yet to be revealed, but don’t expect it to see in any other market other than the Middle East.
