Teaming up with musician Kid Rock and drawing inspiration from his hit song “Born Free” Chevrolet has come up with a rather intriguing concept truck based on a 3500HD Silverado. The mighty Chevrolet Silverado Kid Rock concept “celebrates freedom and honors American workers.”

Kid Rock wanted the design of his truck to be bold and impressive, yet reflect the values of the working class, namely the workers of Flint plant in Michigan where the Silverado is assembled and where Kid Rock comes from. “The Flint plant – and everyone on the line – is the backbone of America,” said Kid Rock. “I wanted the design for the truck to be bold, but with features and elements that wouldn’t be out of reach for working-class guys.”

As for the main features, Chevrolet Silverado Kid Rock boasts a custom chrome grille with the Born Free logo and an enlarged Chevy Bowtie emblem, chrome exhaust stacks and patriotic graphics that flow across the body sides, black metallic-flecked paint, 22-inch custom chrome wheels, tinted windows, chrome assist steps and a spray-in bedliner.

Inside the cabin the massive truck features Sky Cool Gray leather-appointed seats with metallic-appearing inserts patterned after acid-wash jeans for a unique look, and black carpeted floor liners and a blacked-out instrument panel with silver trim. Being designed by a musician, the vehicle also sports a high-end Kicker sounds system.
