Looks like after years of working on Land Rover Defenders, Afzal Kahn of Kahn Design is finally been recognized for his expertise in modifying and customizing these cars. London Motor Show has asked him to come up with an Ultimate Defender as a tribute to the legendary SUV.

Kahn’s Ultimate Defender will be a retirement gift for the car which will soon be replaced by a new model. That new model is said to be pretty similar to the old one, which makes sense, but the original will always be a bit more special.

In designing the Ultimate Defender, Kahn is to give the one-off car a contemporary feel while emphasizing its iconic features. Chances are we will see a lot of Kahn’s Chelsea Truck Defenders in the celebratory model, including the wide track body kit and tweed interior. You can take part in designing this car by telling Kahn what you think should be included in it using #UltimateDefender.

Afzal Kahn explains: “I have designed a vehicle that celebrates the history and unique personality of the Defender. My designs are known for their attention to detail, so I didn’t want this Defender to be any different. This is a fitting tribute to one of the world’s best loved vehicles and I would welcome feedback from Defender owners and enthusiasts alike who are welcome to visit my Kings Road boutique in Chelsea.”
