Nissan Winter Warrior Concepts Headed to Chicago

Don’t be alarmed. There isn’t a blizzard in Chicago that would require a fleet of Nissan Winter Warrior concepts to go there for a rescue mission. The concepts are headed there for the 2016 Chicago Auto Show where they’re supposed to spice up Nissan’s booth.

Nissan Winter Warrior Concepts for Chicago Auto Show include modified versions of the Pathfinder, Murano and Rogue equipped with heavy-duty snow tracks with custom matte-black finish frames. These are DOMINATOR tracks measuring 48 inches long, 30 inches high and 15 inches wide, giving the cars much greater off-road capability as well as a seriously badass look.

Other modifications on Nissan Winter Warrior Concepts include revised suspensions and wheel wells to handle the tracks. But otherwise the vehicles remain standard form and retain their production engines and drivetrain. That said, a range of Genuine Nissan Accessories are fitted to the three Warriors, including cargo area protectors, all-season floor mats, roof rail crossbars, rear bumper protectors and 9×9-foot hatch tents.

“Rogue, Murano and Pathfinder are proven all-wheel-drive crossovers that are very popular with customers, judging from exceptional sales results in 2015 and now in January 2016,” said Christian Meunier, senior vice president, Nissan Sales & Marketing and Operations, Nissan North America, Inc. “With the Winter Warriors, we wanted to take that idea to the extreme, enhancing the vehicles’ advanced systems with special snow tracks, Genuine Nissan Accessories, and a custom exterior appearance.”
